How fast does it go?
Lets put it this way... it could easily get you arrested in all 50 states.* It's got a top end very, VERY deep into the triple digits. If you're asking about acceleration, well, we've never taken it to the drag strip 'cause that's not why we built it (although you're guaranteed to put up impressive numbers). We built it for the street, for cruising around wherever your will takes you. You get an ocean of power with a twist of your wrist. It goes zero to insane in no time flat.
*Apex Trikes does not condone or recommend exceeding the speed limit

Is the Trike street legal?
Absolutely! Designed from the ground up to be 100% DOT compliant.

How hot does it get on your legs?
Apex Trike feels no hotter than your standard V-twin cruiser.   Here are the reasons why:  The headers are ceramic coated keeping them cooler. The aluminum heads allow for more efficient heat transfer in the surrounding air. But the biggest factor is the cooling system. A powerful electric water pump takes the heat from the engine and pushes it through the frame to the radiator in the back, where a 16" fan exhausts the hot air that you would normally find under your hood.

Does it need the wheelie bar?
No, we designed the frame geometry so that the rear suspension pushes the vehicle forward during hard acceleration, rather than rotating upward. However, the adjustable 4-link suspension can be set for the drag strip and harder launches (with proper racing slicks), which is why we offer wheelie bars as an option.

How does it handle?
We spent a lot of time designing and engineering the frame and suspension. We agonized during prototyping to develop methods to build each Trike straight and true. We used 3D computer modeling to determine optimum suspension settings for ride height and travel. We used laser technology to precisely align and center frame pieces before welding. The result of the research and development is a silky smooth ride that is as comfortable in the twisty back roads as it is on the highway straights.
